Child Safety Standards
Our public standard against child sexual abuse and exploitation.
Zero tolerance
CowTalk prohibits all child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexual solicitation, sextortion and trafficking of children. Prohibited content includes material that facilitates or normalizes this abuse. The rule applies to every feature and user, even though CowTalk is restricted to adults aged 18 and over.
Report concerns
Use the in-app reporting/Support entry or /support and select Child safety. Include the relevant account, group, message or meeting reference and a concise description. Do not download, forward or upload suspected CSAM to us. There is no requirement to contact the suspected offender. In immediate danger contact local emergency services.
Review and action
We prioritize child-safety reports, restrict access to reports and evidence to authorized personnel, and assess urgency and relevant context. Upon obtaining actual knowledge of CSAM or related violations, we take appropriate action, including removing or disabling access to unlawful content, restricting implicated accounts and preserving only the evidence lawfully needed. We do not treat a mere account freeze as content removal or data deletion.
Reporting and legal duties
We comply with applicable child-safety laws and maintain a process for escalating confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the relevant regional authority as applicable. Handling, preservation and disclosure of evidence must follow applicable law and safety procedures. Users should not investigate or redistribute suspected material themselves.
Designated child-safety contact
Email: cow@cowplatform.com. Use the subject “CowTalk Child Safety”. This is the operator-designated child-safety contact route, including for Google Play notifications. It is also the general corporate mailbox; safety messages must be routed to personnel who can explain and act on our review and enforcement procedures. Do not attach suspected illegal imagery.
Ongoing safeguards
We use reporting, blocking and administrative enforcement, and review our handling processes as risks and requirements change. This page does not claim automated detection of every violation or official certification. The operator is responsible for staffing this contact, responding to reports and maintaining appropriate authority-reporting procedures.
